Lilian is a Law Professional concurrently overseeing the affairs of the organization’s downstream subsidiary, Optimum Oil & Gas Limited and External & Regulatory Affairs Division of the flagship company as General Manager. Her wealth of experience spanning over 15 years in the Oil & Gas (Downstream) and Marine Operations, Law Practice, Team Management, Regulatory Compliance, Government Liaison and Strategic Planning.  Her experience includes a stint in the upstream segment.

 

She obtained a Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B) from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in 1998, and was admitted to the Nigerian bar in 2000. She further obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law, Commercial & Corporate Law, and a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) in International Business Law from Queen Mary, University of London in 2010.

 

Lilian worked in few establishments: Continental Trust Bank (Now, UBA PLC) performing administrative roles and Edward Odugbesan & Co., a firm of Solicitors & Advocates where she garnered extensive debt recovery management skill, before venturing into the Oil & Gas sector in 2002.

 

Prior to joining Petrolex as Head, Corporate Services, Lilian had worked in Eurafric Oil & Coastal Services Limited as Company Secretary and Head of Legal Department before being appointed, for greater responsibility, as the head of Operations, Sales and Distribution Department, where she applied remarkable logistics, leadership and barrier-breaking skills for the day-to-day running of the department, a strength which delivered increased turnover and continuous operational efficiencies. Both roles carried out for a cumulative period of eight years.

 

Lilian is results-oriented and dependable with a proven track record in the formulation and implementation of effective process to drive competitive growth.

 

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb), United Kingdom, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Institute of Petroleum and Energy Marketers.

Lilian joined Petrolex in August 2010.
