Olukayode Kayoko acquired a BSc in Building from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1992, and has since then garnered over 21 years’ experience in the Construction, Engineering Fabrication and Automaton/Telemetry industries, during which time he has been involved in numerous local and international projects.
Companies he has worked for include Costain West Africa, G Cappa PLC, Sageto Nigeria Limited and Sakamori Nigeria Limited.
He has also worked as a consultant/contractor to multinationals such as Nigerite Limited and Dowell Schlumberger; and in the public sector for the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Rivers State Government.
In the last 15 years, Kayoko has been instrumental in creating startup technical businesses such as Kayoko West Africa, Avner Systems COMENERGY, Linksoft Communications Systems, Nigeria and Arcpine
Limited; which required complex technical partnerships and critical infrastructural development companies.
He has also had direct responsibility for developing strategies for successfully initiating, executing and
commissioning critical infrastructure projects such as expansion construction of pre-fabricated clinic for Lafarge; installation of hot air and gas extraction system and people counting and monitoring system for Silverbird Galleria
Abuja; and design and construction of pre-fabricated mobile clinic systems for SOS International as well as the design and fabrication of power and control units for the MTN I Project.
Kayoko joined Petrolex in September 2011.
